The story
A new kind of fund
1899 Innovation Fund combines the discipline of experienced venture capital with the brand strength, sporting knowledge and data of FC Barcelona and the Barça Innovation Hub.
The Fund and BIHUB operate under a formal Strategic Alliance Agreement. Each stays independent. The Fund brings capital and operating expertise to companies the ecosystem sources and validates; the ecosystem gives those companies access, evidence and reach no generalist investor can offer.
Deal flow runs both ways. BIHUB feeds a vetted European sports-tech pipeline, while our team independently sources across North America and globally, with a right of first look in both directions.
We invest from Seed to Series A with initial checks of $150K to $3M and reserves to follow on into our strongest companies.
